My main specialization is with motivated competitive climbers of all levels and ages; I love working with competitors on comp strategy, body awareness, and climbing IQ. I’m available to work with those in the Bay Area looking for in-person coaching, or everyone else interested in remote coaching options (training plans, comp mentality, general training strategy, etc).
Over my time in the competitive climbing industry, I’ve been lucky to have served as head coach for three different programs with a National presence. See my Resources tab for coaching resources, or reach out if you’re interested in consultation, coach development, or programming discussion.
I started my career in the climbing industry as a routesetter and am still currently working as an active routesetter. Contact me if you’re looking for freelance / contract work, or if you’re a competitor or coach looking for insight into routesetting fundamentals.
About
I started climbing at as a hobby at age 7 in Tacoma, WA. After a few years I started competing until I graduated high school; in college I started taking my training more seriously and shifted my focus to outdoor climbing for a few years. I graduated college with a B.S. in psychology with a focus on developmental psych, and started coaching and routesetting right after. What started as an interim job before grad school quickly became my passion, providing me with opportunities to be a part of some of the most amazing communities I’ve been a part of. At this stage in my life, I’m committed to working with as many athletes, coaches, and setters as I can and developing my skills to be the best coach and routesetter I can be. When I’m not climbing or working, I enjoy baking and playing Final Fantasy XIV.
